Falling On Our Swords You will see your loved ones die It's hard to face your last goodbye The words they leave are in your head The songs they sang will comfort you You're outside I'm in my mind Glory comes back on a cold cold day and a winter's night And she's singing those tragic prose No one knows what's going on inside his head I didn't mean it Did you believe it? Cut into stone and blood is streaming down Falling on our swords tonight Now we want back inside the body The blood and the bone The heart and the soul I need you to know I need you to need this soul She's sinking It's heavy lifting O God I need you more than I knew yesterday Just coping Remorse in hand The desert holds no hope for trees and vanities If I came back would you have me? If I came back now? Would there be room in that heart of yours for me?
2.
Fail Like We Do I know you can feel my heart Open up my chest and get your hands in there It pumps the blood around the body but it's pumping blood all over the floor So do what you do best, do what you do best Because I'm a mess and you're a mess Cause I don't want to I don't want to dissuade you You'll surprise you I know it's true Taking control tonight Fighting what's right to fight But you can't see Diving into the darkness Seeing only blinding light But you can't see Well laid plans to abortive attempts Stitching it all up just to hide the mess It takes guts to fail like we do To laugh it all off it's serious skill So do what you do best even though you're a mess We won't redeem ourselves They've damned us to the past like we'll never have a future but who are they anyway?

Two Worlds 04:28
Two Worlds Spoken smooth Words as water rolling off our tongues Sincerely fractured Bending over backwards What's the meaning and what was our intent? Arrogant and awkward Bravely manufactured Assumptions encoded into our DNA Layers of lies covering layers of truth Ambiguous connections and disillusionment Then there's you and me and this endless sea of noise And these two worlds superimposed One is real; one illusory And we could be free Only a moment; only a glimmering From one moment to the next; fleeting feelings and context Never know what to expect; swallowed up in hopeless Wait just a minute, if you can choose it now, believe that God is good and grace fills the spaces between You break in; make it so obvious You break in; break me down again These two worlds Can't you feel it?

Come Away 05:36
Come Away Darling you're beauty, it can not be denied Railing against the darkness; incipient deicide Well I will paint the hollows and I will mend your dresses I will teach your heart to smile; to be gone with these defences O come away, O come away O come away with me my love O come away, O come away O come away with me For I am shot through Your eyes can see me naked but unashamed In through my lungs Course through my blood Your in the thin and in the thick of it Victoria, please wait for me; I'm on the other side I'm toiling in distraction; Insipid uninspired Well, you open up my windows and you turn over my tables You teach a torpid heart to feel and I'm stealing all my kisses O come away, O come away O come away with me my love O come away, O come away O come away with me For I am shot through Your eyes they see me; hidden strength and accidents Mind is racing The sun beats down Your with me in sickness and ecstasy You are mine and I am yours O come away, O come away O come away with me my love O come away, O come away O come away with me For I am shot through and you've broke me open fear falls away and so much wasted time Sun blinds my eyes on hopes horizon You're sure fingerprints all over me I'm searching the streets and squares My heart belongs to you The signs of you are everywhere I don't know what I'll do

What Was I Thinking? I’m into winning battles; I’m into sinking ships One bad seed ruins the whole bunch and I’m into busted lips Bruised pride? I’ll give you solace inside my shifting skin This monster’s built for overkill and I’ll always drag you in O God, I think I'm finished Over my head time and again What was I thinking? I’m into timid spirits; I’m into crushing them You think you’re so innocent but I know your secret sins Got pity? We will wallow; venerate a sacred pain The primal tang of blood; it’s on our hands again When it comes to feeling insecure Yeah, you're right I am a pioneer I'll bring you flowers, then I'll bring you tears I'll leave you in the dark I've got it down to an art There's no disguising it; I am a hypocrite And my heart is violent; self-obsessed The rhythm of this heart is violence The song that it sings is emptiness

Lovers or Fighters? Our violence plays hidden We strip the silences with heavy words and then Left with fresh scars on our consciences I drag me down again I drag me down And we're exceptional; so miss-directional Without a minute to spare; without a minute Are we lovers? Are we fighters? Feel like haters; become liars Straight lines Circles Painted into corners Loose yourself; don't try this time Look into the sky tonight and open up your lovers eyes You can see the time is right Don't confuse your mind Stars will shine The moon will be bright Open hills Lets find the highlight of the time we shared tonight Open up, please open up your lovers eyes tonight Our energies; our appetite Tomorrows worries today Tomorrows worries will stay in the foreground doing magic tricks We'll be breaking our back to keep us in the black We're lovers We're fighters We're haters become liars

Home 03:51
Home And your words they seem nice but your eyes as cold as ice I've got to learn to shut you down I've go to learn to take my own advice and get it done; don't think twice Start believing that I'm alright So many people try to sell me on their own shallow dreams and plans We are going home We are glory bound All our hopes and plans We don't understand Just like you said, "I'm not your saviour" "I'm not so bad", I don't believe you You've got to learn to cut your ties with the crowd Can't hear your own voice cause the past is to loud And all this language, it keeps in danger It's isolation; it's learned behaviour You've got to admit when your dying I'll be there at your bedside - I'm trying We are going home We are glory bound All our hopes and plans We don't understand You hedge your bets Don't sink your teeth in just yet You call it quits before we're even out the door

I Know Where I'd Go Same old places, faces, statements, arguments unraveling She’s been through it and your amusement is not what she’s living for Dark feeds on dark in her eyes, in her heart Light is alive - never know, never know So I hope you know you’re beautiful and I know where I’d go - so far away In the sand and sun and that’s where I’d like to stay and I’d lay right down beside you there Breathe the salt of the sea - why can’t we leave today? I’m so dizzy with this busyness and motion - so monotonous and broken - want to sit right down and cry Same emotion over and over - ruminating ugly things She’s been trying, ever climbing up and out of your bribery Wind comes in through this old window Snow blind from the sun on snow I swear you can hear the sound of the breaking of this here restless soul Because we are more than just canvases of skin on bone

Youth 04:37
Youth We said “no regrets”, but ten years have past get these demons off my back We danced; we kissed we won’t be stranded with these feelings of what we missed Drive-in movies and traveling the world with your lover at your side Growing older; passion and pain with your lover at your side With the last thought of youth we sigh in relation to the inside We will make it through the night with the last thought - with our last thoughts Long hours; sleepless nights we both say things we know we never should High hopes; half smiles an arm around my shoulder when I’m down Age and beauty, hollywood movies - they don’t matter to me

Intentions Over-worn You knew you had it; the golden touch and you were only having a little bit of fun No bullets in the chamber; a mantle piece display Pretty smiles and summer dresses; empty phrases and quick messes Now the light of day peals back the film So used to playing tricks now So used to it; too used to it How could you have ever known that this awful day would come? Hearts are burning altars; hands are cracked and warn Thoughts are threadbare remnants of intentions over-worn (I don't know what they've been saying - I don't know if it's all true It's time you lay down your armour - it's time you just spoke the truth and you will break down and you will cry and you will loose it all to feel alive) You left your good sense somewhere far back in the past Lies were so attractive; sophistication makes you sick No bullets in the chamber; at least that's what was said Now you can't hear a thing over this incessant ringing Now the light of day peals away perdition Won't be dancing for awhile No, not in this condition You stare at your own face in the mirror of the water just long enough to realize that you've become the monster you hated This doesn't have to be the final word on everything This could be the first day like you woke up from a dream and splashed some ice cold water in your tired face You wake up The past is just the past so prepare yourself; this is today

Please Don't Let It Get To You Do you still have trouble being honest? Are you being honest with me?
Are you still carrying that heartache? Still underneath it I think
You had unaffected joy but a little bit of knowledge took care of that Open up those arms
; (Keep those arms outstretched and wide)
Downcast eyes and heavy sighs; under the weight of the world
Please don’t let it pass you by Please don’t let it get to you, don’t let it eat you up
You twitch and turn - is there anything left for me besides harsh words and petty lies? What do you see when you look into my eyes?
Sometimes our dreams are fulfilled just moments before they die This bleak view from inside of your head; thinking that you would be better of ____
You don’t see magic in anything anymore; a kiss is a kiss - there’s no love in it like before
You take what you can get; whatever’s happening - there is no breaking this spiritless spell What do you see when you realize that I am yours? Tonight?

This Melody 04:43
This Melody For far too long now gone; lost in my head and I think I'll be sick if I don't just listen this time Draw me in; sell me out; I won't go easily This thin existence is fleeting living for only me And then you speak and I stand You say go and I move my feet You shout be whole and I sing What is this melody that's ringing in my head If I continue to deny the light from you window; the blood and the body If I continue to breath, it's you and me or nothing For too long now gone; lost in my head; I think I'll be sick You speak in ancient rhythm pristine and clear There's nothing false; no sound wasted My heart burns; my ears are pierced right through

about

"If You'll Have Me" was written over the course of two years. It is the distillation of our hopefully successful attempts to hone a melodic pop sound from the dirty, chaotic, wall-of-sound beginnings of our raw demo material. We hope you like it as much as we've enjoyed the process of creation.

Blessings!
